(Rom 8:10 LITV) But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(Rom 8:11 LITV) But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.
(Rom 8:12 LITV) So, then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh,
(Rom 8:13 LITV) for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.
(Rom 8:14 LITV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Notice in the 11th verse, it states our 'mortal bodies' are made alive by His Spirit in us.
(Joh 11:25 LITV) Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live.
(Phi 3:8 LITV) But, no, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ
(Phi 3:9 LITV) and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness of Law, but through the faith of Christ, having the righteousness of God on faith,
(Phi 3:10 LITV) to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, having been conformed to His death,
(Phi 3:11 LITV) if somehow I may attain to a resurrection out of the dead.
(Phi 3:12 LITV) Not that I already received or already have been perfected, but I press on, if I also may lay hold, inasmuch as I also was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
I think this is a good question brought up, because what does it mean when we are baptized unto His death and raised to His life by His Spirit being in us?
Is it believing in faith, not that it has happened, yet the words, 'its no longer I who live, but Him who is in me.'
(Gal 2:20 LITV) I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, the One loving me and giving Himself over on my behalf.
(Rom 4:17 LITV) according as it has been written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations;" before God, whom he believed, the One making the dead live, and calling the things that are not as if they were. Gen. 17:5
Could it be, that by faith through calling the things that are not as if they were, with Christs Spirit being in us, who is the resurrection, we have that hope.
Just a thought for discussion.
God bless,
