Hey Ray,
you said the punishement of sin is simply death, ie soul annihalation so, and you also stated in another one of your emails that even good guys like Abraham and Moses is not in heaven , well if thats the case why bother trying not to sin, I mean why should I not sleep around, watch pornography, go to prostitutes , have premarital sex, get drunk , shoplift if I'm not gonna be any better off than the guy who doesnt do these things, I might as well enjoy my life according to my own standards as long as I dont abuse kids, kill anybody, rape anyone, steal off an individual then I wont feel guilty for the way I am, but dont forget that other people may have lower moral standards than I have which include some of the latter things.
The message you are sending out is that its pointless being good or trying to obey Gods law all the time because you are not going to go to heaven anyway no matter how good you are.
Yours Barry.
Dear Barry:
I receive thousands and thousands of foolish emails. Yours is one of the most foolish.
First of all, "shoplifing" IS stealing from individuals. Who do you think owns those stores, monkeys?
Abraham and Moses WILL be in the Kingdom of God, but no, tis true, they are not presently in heaven.
If "sleeping around, watching pornography, prostituting, premarital sex, drunkenness, and shoplifting" is what "enjoying your life" means to you, then I guess that is what you will have to do.
If you have read anything on my site, then you know that I write more about God's JUDGMENTS than almost anyone on the Interenet. So ALL of your foolish suggestions are way out of line. There is coming very severe JUDGMENT upon all unrepentant sinners. And the more you sin the greater the judgment, so BE WARNED. God has not promised a heaven on some rock in outer space, nor has He threatened with some eternal hellhole of misery in fire. The righteous will be saved in the first resurrection and the wicked and non-believers will be judged in the second resurrection. At the consummation ALL WILL BE SAVED (I Tim. 2:4, 4:10; I Cor. 15:28, I John 4:14, John 1:29, Phil. 2:9-11, Ep;h. 1:10, etc., etc., etc.).
