A good thing to remember--learn about the culture BEFORE visiting a foreign country.
This reminds me of the time then-President Nixon visited a South American country (Peru, Brazil, Argentina ... I forget which one), and gave his famous "peace" sign with both hands, as he was well-known to do, when stepping out of the plane. Turns out, that is an obscene gesture in the country he visited. :-[ That would be like a foreign leader coming here and giving us the finger with both hands! A big OOPSIE!!! LOL
