Dear CT:
I will COMMENT in your email...............

> Dear Ray,
> I can understand not giving to someone/church/preacher

> Matthew 22:21
> They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them,
> Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are
> Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
> Mark 12:17
> And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar
> the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things
> that are God's. And they marveled at him.
> Luke 20:25
> And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar
> the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things
> which be God's.
> (Why would Jesus compare Caesar's taxes to what is to

COMMENT:  Here is the answer I gave to the same question I received yesterday:

So what does he mean by- and to God the things that are of God's...
 Like what things?

Thank you for answering my question.
Rejoice in the Lord always 2007!
Dear Jack:
Here is the most important thing that BELONGS to God:
"WHAT?  Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN?  For YE [Gk: ALL OF YOU] are BOUGHT WITH A PRICE: therefore GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR SPIRIT WHICH ARE GOD'S" (I Cor. 6:19-20).
One more:  "I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that ye present YOUR BODIES [not your filthy lucre or Caesar's tax money] a LIVING SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable unto God...." (Rom. 12:1).

> Luke 18:12
> (where in the story Jesus told, the Pharisee declared)
> I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I
> possess.
> (Why brag of giving tithes of all his possession if
> the tithes were only to be from agricultural sources?)
COMMENT:  Because this self-righteous hypocrite wanted
to be MORE righteous than the law demanded, and of course,
it gained him nothing and accomplished him nothing, as Jesus
said NONE OF IT justified him.

> To keep things short, I will ask this: The Bible

> or is God blessing us?
COMMENT:  NO. The Scriptures are very clear on this.
Tithes were ONLY of the increase of the herds and the field.
Those who worked for wages in the field to bring in the tithe,

COMMENT:  Just who is "cursing them?"  Certainly not I.
God be with you,
