Why Pray?
« on: May 05, 2006, 10:25:08 PM »

Mr.Smith.

I have been reading your site for quite some time and have found it
to be truly amazing. To be honest I have planned for days on what to write to you, but now that I finally am, my time is cut short and I must get to the point:

You have always made sense of the Bible, shown it has no contradictions and has only come into question by modern skeptics due to distortion for the church and other organized religions. My question is this: Why pray?

Can it truly be that God listens to each and every one of us at all times?

I am not doubting what the holy scriptures say, as I am actually a devout
believer, I just do not fully understand the meaning of prayer. Is it truly
something God acknowledges, or is it simply a practice we do to help further the enlightenment of our spirit, soul, and body?

Dear Angelo:

I am writing a paper on PRAYER.  If I can get away from these emails long enough, I will finish it next week and have my Web Master post it on our home page.

God be with you,

Ray
