A few things I don't understand.
« on: May 22, 2008, 05:27:54 AM »

Does Ray teach anywhere in his papers about Armageddon.thelast great battle. Also I notice that there's alot of talk about the year 2012. I know this is the date that the Mayan's said the age would end. Also some of the Indian tribes of No the America mention this date. Of course some of the doomday preachers use this date also. One more thing I read the paper on the beast and I know it said that mankind is the beast. But what about the mark of the beast? In order to buy or sell it will be required that we have this mark on our hand or forehead. I must of missed this in Ray's teachings.

                                        Thanks  Darren

Armageddon is in Revelations; Rev 16:16.
Rev 16:16  And2532 he gathered them together4863, 846 into1519 a place5117 called2564 in the Hebrew tongue1447 Armageddon.717

Of Hebrew origin [H2022] and [H4023]; Armageddon (or Har-Megiddon), a symbolical name: - Armageddon.

A shortened form of H2042; a mountain or range of hills (sometimes used figuratively): - hill (country), mount (-ain), X promotion.

From an unused root meaning to loom up; a mountain: - hill, mount (-ain).

If you use the Websters definition;
Etymology: Greek ArmageddOn, HarmagedOn, scene of the battle foretold in Revelations 16:14-16
Date: 1534
1 a : the site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil b : the battle taking place at Armageddon
2 : a usually vast decisive conflict or confrontation

Quote from: Ray Smith
The Scriputres know nothing of an "END of time" or  "The Battle OF Armageddon."

I believe Ray's saying the Scripture know nothing of a final and conclusive (end of time) battle (Battle of Armageddon) between the forces of good and evil as some are taught in the world.
