Re: World Religions

Mickyd:

--- Quote from: Shoeman ---Granted, Hinduism and Christianity bear a good amount of difference. Christians can eat beef after all. But the point is that beyond these petty differences, the same thing is at its core.

Its kind of sad that people only want to see the differences and not the deeper (and more important) similarities.
--- End quote ---

1tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1tim 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

1tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

I don't know why God compels me to enter these fruitless discussions.

eutychus:
greetings,

interesting."world" religion :wink:

 religious system is babylon, part of it, mixing truth and lies.
its everywhere NOW.

 16:6
Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

1Co 5:6
Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

eutychus:
[
Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

This does apply to us as being follwers of Christ.

John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.[/quote]

 yup good scriptures MD.

1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;

and spiritual yes i understand, Christ was preparing them for harder sayings, things they couldnt bare until they recieved the holy Spirit.

 Hbr 9:16 For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hbr 9:17 For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
