New Guy here !
« on: September 30, 2008, 07:00:01 PM »

A big hello to all!

My name is Wes Finch and I am from London, Ontario, Canada.

A few years back, I was searching for something to read on the internet.  I was born and raised Baptist and enjoy bible studies.  I came across Ray's site and thought what a kook he is.  But I kept coming back for more punishment.  Slowly, I came to realize that he was more correct than what I heard coming out of the church.  I am not in total agreement with him on all issues, and am not here to discuss or mention them either, but to learn more from Ray and all of you.  I hope that I can contribute a little something along the way too.  I am very happy to be accepted as a member here.  It sure would be nice some day to meet you all.

Hi Wes.

I didn't know anything about Ray, but I thought the website might be kinda kooky.  Guess we were both surprised, huh?  ;D

I hope you continue to grow in knowledge and truth.  Love your tagline about prayer in school.

Welcome Wes,

Glad that it was Gods Will that you were led here. I remember Ray saying something to the affect, If the Churches teach it, it's probably wrong(not an exact quote). Jesus wasn't popular, the First century Christians weren't popular and Ray isn't popular(only with us) in comparison to the "Christian" Status Quo. As was expected in Scripture, it's the Blind leading the Blind.

Looking forward to your fellowship in the days that follow and welcome to this fellowship.

                                 KInd Regards, Samson;  :)

Thanks all for the welcome!
Since I was asked, on the rabbits head is a pancake.

You can see it better and read it here:

Hi Wes.  From a recently former Baptist (a few months ago), glad to see you here.  I was feeling frustrated tonight that the congregation to which I used to be a "member" of seems to have been more and more preaching about hell.  Was thinking how I wanted to "do something about it", but I felt impressed that I was to do nothing, that it's in God's hands (I previously contacted the pastor with what God's been showing me, and he basically said he didn't believe it).  I also remembered where I'd read (I believe J. Preston Eby) that God isn't trying to save everyone right now, and that not everyone's going to be shown God's "Bible Truths" right now.  It's hard for me to hold back sometimes, but it helps to remember that God's in control and He's working His Great Big Plan of the Ages.  Welcome, and God's blessing, James.

That's odd...I was kinda wondering what that thing was under the pancake.   :D

I'd try to find some wisdom in that statement, but it makes my head hurt.

Hi Wes,

I'm glad you have joined us  :)
I see you are way up there in Canada, well I'm way down here on the Miss. Gulf Coast.
I was in a Baptist church for 10 yrs before I found Bible Truths.  All those yrs thinking I was saved and trying to do my part to be a good Christian  ::)  The Truth will certainly set you free.  I feel sooo free being out of the church.

It's not easy to erase all those yrs of indoctrination and then to re-learn what you thought you knew.  But your eyes have been opened or you wouldn't be here.  So stick with studying the articles and proving everything with Scripture and layer by layer the false teachings will fall away and the Truth will beginning to make more and more sense.

We have a lot here to add to your studies, here are a few links.
