Already I've talked this over with one of the moderators. It seems okay to post this, and if it is too controversial, I fully understand locking the thread.
http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,7714.0.htmlRay makes a comment in one of his audios (Can a Sovereign God Change; link to transcript provided above):
"God does not improve Himself. Now I’m not going to say that He never did, because I have some thoughts about that. But that doesn’t make Him less of a being, to me it makes Him far greater. But I’m not going to cover that until the conference." For context.
Isolation of point of interest:
"Now I’m not going to say that He never did, because I have some thoughts about that." I know this is his opinion, as the Bible is virtually silent as to this possibility. It raises many interesting questions... and if anyone believes they've found verses in scripture that allude to this, do share... and I'd like to know
your thoughts on this.
Did God learn perfection? Was he somehow subjected relatively to the worldly trials we are now going through? Longsuffering?
