Hi Anthony,
We are cautioned to not be (Tossed about by every wind of doctrine). Taking on the job of learning
history is not easy or without grave mistakes. Remember the story you are reading unless backed up
by empirical evidence is what someone thinks they have understood based on circumstantial evidence.
The reason we are given the (Scriptures Inspired By God) is to have evidence presented by One Who
Declares It to Be Empirical Evidence. Thus we can always use The Scriptures to verify or disqualify
any other evidence.Jeremiah 9:5:
And they will deceive every one his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught
their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
Jeremiah 29:8:
For thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that
be in the middle of you, deceive you, neither listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.
Romans 16:18:
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words
and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Ephesians 4:14:
That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind
of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Titus 1:10:
For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
II John 1:7:
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Revelation of John 12:9:
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives
the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
