Credence is.....

I Believe that the Holy Scriptures are God's Authorized Biography, and

I Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God's Authorized Autobiography

That's it.  It's all in there.  It'll come to you.  Just meditate on it a few years!

"Just meditate on it a few years!"

My dear Arc,
One of Ray's greatest lessons to me is that although God calls us (and maybe chooses us) it doesn't excuse us from putting  in the time to meditate and study His Word continually. We never "arrive" and there is always fresh truth that we can not receive all at once. We have to put in time and effort. Ray certainly did.
That said, I am going back to study all of Ray's teachings another time, and it won't be the last.

I've got so much studying to do to understand this. Anyone care to explain it? :-)

[John from Kentucky]

Ray wrote that "It is the second part of my statement that contains the highest possible wisdom regarding the reason for the cosmos, the creation, the human race, and God's personal purpose for creating humanity".

The bold faced type is from me.  Ray is referring to his statement that Jesus is God's Authorized Autobiography.

What Ray is saying is easy to understand.  You just need to know what an Autobiography is.  An autobiography is a revelation about yourself, written by you.  Jesus is the Word.  The Word came from the Father.  Autobiography.  Jesus said that He and the Father are One.  Get it?

It also ties into Ray's April 2, 2011 message that this Enigma of God understanding is the most amazing truth that we will ever know from the scriptures.

http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,12934.0.html    Read the last paragraph.  Is it becoming clearer?

Ray has left us a gift to meditate upon.

The Father is above all that exist. He is the Creator of all that exist. As such, the Father cannot be a part of His creation, not in the literal sense that He can coexist with His creation.  If this were not so, then creation would cease to exist as such, and there would be no "God" of creation.  The Father willed that the creation (creature), know Him. This is why He gave us His Son. The Son was "begotten" (came forth) of the Father. This is how the Father can communicate and interact with His creation. The Son is the express image and likeness of the Father, and in Him ( the Son), dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. " No man has seen the Father at any time, and none has heard His voice "  But, the Son says " .....if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father".  Also that " ...the Father and I are one ".  The Son is the "Word" (logos - revelatory thought) of the Father.  Just as the Father created all things by (through) the Son, we can only know the Fathers will by (through) the Son.  The Son is the "Spirit" (Holy Spirit) of God the Father.  It is this "power" (authority)  that the Father exercises to govern His creation.   If any would like chapters and verses of Scripture to substantiate these things, we can examine them together.  Ray was just beginning to understand the "relationship" when he passed on.

Can you explain your view on (Colossians 2:9)

Thank you for your time. the Lord bless you,
Markus

Dear Markus:

First, there is no such thing as a "Godhead."  It is "Divine" or "Divinity" or "Deity,"

and it means "that which pertains to God."  God the Father lived and spoke and worked

in His Son Jesus. In his body, Jesus represented God the Father. Hence, he told Philip

that when he saw Christ he also saw His Father (John 14:8-11).  "I and My Father

are ONE" (John 10:30).

God be with you,

Ray

Hi whyisthatso,

I have not had the chance and would like to welcome you to the forum

I would like to expand on your comment;

The Son is the "Spirit" (Holy Spirit) of God the Father.

Here is an email that explains this to a greater degree.

THerefore SInce the "SPIRIT" (holy spirit) is THE LORD(the father), the father must be the spirit.

COMMENT:  The "Spirit" is the possession of God the Father--it is "The Spirit OF God."  However, God has given His Son Jesus Christ this SAME spirit. God has shared ALL with His Son: "ALL power in heaven and earth is given Me" (Matt. 28:18).  Jesus takes of the Spirit His Father has given Him and gives it to US (John 16:15).  The "Comforter" (the "parakletos) IS JESUS.  "And if any man sin, we have an Advocate [Gk: 'parakletos] with the Father, JESUS CHRIST the righteous" (I John 2:1). Jesus Christ IS, the Lord of the Old Testament; the Lord of the New Testament, the Comforter (Parakletos), which is the promised Holy Spirit, which comes to us through JESUS CHRIST, and so "The Lord is that SPIRIT."

[whyisthatso]

Thank you Kat for the welcome and the e-mail as well.  I have been wondering for a long time when I would find a group of God's elect. So if I may I would like to say hello to all.  My name is David .

[whyisthatso]

Gina, thank you for pointing that out. Of course the word "Godhead" is a translation of the greek word ( which is used only once in scripture ). And is to be understood to pertain to that which is of God ( Father ) in a very special way.  And refers to the very nature of the Father as opposed to just His attributes.  There are many instances in the translation of the Scriptures where a better choice of words could have been used. But I have come to see after studying the Scriptures most of my life, that many times its not really about the words, per say, but about understanding. A little girl in China who has no understanding of the word "water" (english), surely KNOWS what water is. This is not to say that words are not important, but that words are thoughts realized.  "....the Father is greater than I " (Jesus).

                                                                                                                                  in love, David

I think what Ray means by his two statements,

"I Believe that the Holy Scriptures are God's Authorized Biography, and

I Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God's Authorized Autobiography

That's it.  It's all in there.  It'll come to you.  Just meditate on it a few years!"

In the Love of God,

at least for me, is that the first statement says the bible is God's autobiography on the domino effect God started on man and we see it's progress from Genesis to the the future,  the second statement is God's result God wants to see in man!

hope it makes sense?

Denise

[whyisthatso]

Denise, I think you pretty much nailed it.  And what jumps out at me in that statement is the word "authorized".  True authorization belongs to the "Author".  And as such, "authority" can only be delegated by the Author.  Or else they are "unauthorized".  This is what the world's  "christianity" is.  They have a form of godliness but deny the power (authority...Author) thereof.

Hi everyone, I know I haven't said much since coming to the forum, but I have been reading some of the post that the others have been writing. I would like to share my experience with you all if I could. Before God lead me to Bt He was being me out of the sabbath church. I starting searching scripture for myself, with God's leading of course. I learnt that the commandments were spiritual not physcial as in the OT. Then I started going back to the Sunday churches of all places. I came out of there real quick. Then one night right out of the blue something stirred my spirit, I know it was God doing it, but at the time it seemed strange to me that I had never thought of the lake of fire being anything but physcial, but I was typing in the lake of fire and low and behold up jumps Ray smith's Bt's and I can't get enough of it. I know It is from God Almighty. I have had so many of my questions answered without even asking them.
everything God was teaching I found it here on BT's. I thank God That i have a family that i can talk to. My husband is still in the Sabbath and feast days and he want even listen to me unless I read him something that he already believes in from Ray. They do teach alot alike. Please keep me in your prayers. I am alone in this house as far as like mindedness people. God be with you all. virginia

[virginiabm]

Hi John, I know I feel like I have been alone most of the time anyway, because I didn't see things just the way my husband did for the past 17 years we have been married. I disagreed with him on most things that he taught from the bible till I could not fight anymore, because it was in there for all to see, but I KNOW NOW IT IS SPIRITUAL NOT PHYSCIAL.  Thanks for the quick reply. I saw a post that Ray had done a paper on Isa. 61-66. Do you know where I can find it. I would like to know about from one new moon to anther and one sabbath to another that all flesh will come and worship before God. I would appreciate it if you could show me.

I am truly saddened at the news of Rays passing [sleeping] and wish to say that the peace that passses all our understanding be with Rays loved ones left behind.

to add to this mail quoted and to answer questions on various functions I discovered a wonderfull type parable in Gen 24

The Father likened to Abraham
the son (Isaac) likened to Jesus
The bride (Rebecca) is the church
and the Nameless servant who was - and is in charge of all the Father has,24v2 is the Holy Spirit and distributer of all The Father has (he also does the Fathers bidding)
