Look close just inside the second outer ring at about 10 o'clock for a tiny dot. That's the earth.

Click on the image to enlarge it.

I use this to put my life in perspective.

Love it Dennis - thank you

"Do you know like we were saying, about the earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world is turning and you just can't quite believe it 'cause everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it...

the turn of the earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour. The entire planet is hurtling around the sun at sixty seven thousand miles an hour. And I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world. And, if we let go..."  ~Doctor Who

Absolutely beautiful Thanks for those pictures guys!

Amazing place to be able to live and learn and enjoy life.

And who are these great folks who think that they can do better on another planet in some other solar system. OR that they can pack up enough necessary material to travel there (wherever there is) to escape their fate when the earth runs out of energy and air and food. Really???
Don't they know that God has already planned for that?
All we have to do is to REST IN HIM.

wow...makes me and my problems seem so small.  from these perspectives, even invisible...

Job 26:7  He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Thanks Dennis,
Just wonderful how God's creation puts everything into perspective, even our puny little selves.
As an amateur astronomer I love astronomy and beholding the heavens above.
Do not forget the Perseids meteor shower peaking in about one week.
