If you could be a motto what would you be?

To All,

I was wondering tonight what motto best describes where I am.  I was wondering this thought as I was drifting off to sleep tonight.  Well as evidenced by this topic, I had to come and post it and see what could come of it.

The question is, if you could think of a motto or more than one that would describe where you are, what would you be.

There are 2 mottos that describe where I am for now.

  1.  Above all else, to thine own self be true
  2.  And the Litany of Fear from the Dune Series

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Look forward to your responses.  See you later.

  Sincerely,

  Anne C. McGuire

I guess if I had to be a motto, I would just as soon be a juicy Red ta-motto.

Cute Longhorn ;) :D

My motto has always been:  LIVE, LOVE AND LAUGH.
Of course I like the one that I always sign off with on this forum (see below) :)

Hi Anne,
A description of where I am at, as a motto.......thats a tough one....I'm on the right path, but a motto for if I'll get there would be   " It won't happen over night but it will happen "

God LOVE You

John,

That reminds me of something said last night by my husband.  He said he is a WIP, a work in progress.

I too well can relate to this one.

I love those 3 A's.

As a teacher this has always been mine:

Gena,
Not to be lude here, but, while I was in the Persian gulf, a Doctor that I had known  and worked along side of had come up to me and spoke to me that same statement that you just quoted.  It took me a couple of seconds for it to sink in as to what he was saying, which I had never heard before then; lets' just say that he never asked me again!  ;)

Deborah-Leigh

I just hope he did not have to say sorry! ???  :o bad enough what he said! :o
