"Ever been tongue-tied?"

[Bruce]

Well,at least it's different.  This is Bruce, aged 66 - and Joan,82.  We live in a small village in Cornwall. U.K.,about 8 miles SW of Launceston.  We've been Bible students for 35 years - me more off than on until recently - it's Joan that's kept the show on the road!
About 4 years ago, I "chanced" on the writings of one L. Ray Smith on-line.  Phew, what an eye-opener!  Here, at last was someone expounding Scripture without all the Trinitarian, Devil-esposing Babylonian garbage that now represents itself as "Christian".  I thank God for him..we are NOT alone.
About two years ago, on Ray's recomendation, we purchased a Concordant N.T.  This is a marvelous translation - it sets to rights so much that is lacking, or erroneous in the others.  Particularly, it parses the Greek aorist (present continuous) tense correctly, showing clearly how many of Yahweh's acts in this world are on-going   -  so much so that the complete Concordant O.T. arrived on the doorstep three days ago, and we've been glued to it ever since!      This is an ADVERTISMENT  -   Sorry!
With our prayers for Ray's swift recovery & participation in your next get-together - wish we could be there   -   we hope to be frequent - and useful - contributors to this forum in future                 Bruce.

welcome joan and bruce.
i enjoyed the name of your thread. also, enjoy seeing more and more people coming to the forum. i've never been to cornwall. i have visited london, esher, and waybridge. how interesting that the number of members from the uk seem to be growing. i like the way you introduced yourselves, i.e. "this is bruce aged 66, and joan 82." that in itself, was a different introduction. glad to have you sitting with us.

Hi Joan and Bruce
Lucky you living in Cornwall. I'm a Devonian currently exiled in Dorset we used to live in North Devon not so far from where you are now. It's good to see that there are more UK members around and we have manged to meet up with one or two this year which has been great.
Did you Concordant OT come in one whole volume?and did you get it from someone here in the UK ?I'm curious as the person who runs the Concordant concern In Gloucester told me that it wouldn't be available until next year.I'm itching to get hold of a copy myself.
All the best
Dave
