Ish 26:9 vs. John 16:11
« on: September 25, 2008, 10:51:33 PM »

I was looking for help on this:

Isa 26:9  With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Joh 16:11  Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

How come Satan isnt learning righteousness?

I cant figure this one out!!

Hello Matt,

Good to see you on the forum...I believe I met you at the conference this past weekend. I had the USC t-shirt on Sunday. If not, please ignore.  :)

If you look at John 16:11, it does not say being judged 'presently'. Take a look at this:

John 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

He says 'I judge', not will be or will do. But, did Jesus start his judgment at that present time while he was on the earth in the flesh? No. Remember, God 'calls those things which BE NOT as though they were' (Rom 4:17).

Hope this helps,

Marques

In the END we can agree......

EVERY KNEE shall bend and all will know RIGHTEOUSNESS..."  including satan.
