My arm

Roy Martin:
Its been a year ago that I lifted something from my pick up that injured my forearm on top of it like a pulled muscle, but it never got better and has continued to worsen in the last few weeks to the point of not being able to use it for nothing much more than typing. It has sharp pain even when I don't use it. The pain seems to start at the top part of my elbow which is extremely sensitive to touch but goes all the way almost to my wrist but mostly in the center of my forearm.
Has anyone ever had this sort of thing that can give me some advice. Silvia keeps telling me to go to the doctor, but I'm hard headed about that.
I know that pulled muscles don't last a year, so does anyone have a clue what this could be? I wouldn't be asking, but its getting very bad with no sign of getting better.
Home remedies, suggestions. Do we have a Doctor in the house?

Roy

Linny:
Could you have pinched nerves in there or could you have a hairline fracture? I got a hairline fracture on my hip once as a teen that took years to stop being sensitive.
I also fell down the stairs a few yrs ago hitting my coccyx bone so hard it took over 2 yrs before it healed.
Face it Roy, we're old.  :-* :-[

Hey Roy,

I understand about being Hardheaded about going to Doctors, my right shoulder bothers me  and seems to have something to do with my Biceptal Tendon which runs from the Bicep muscle and attaches somewhere in the shoulder joint. I use Ice and Ibuprofen, but the shoulder joint and rotator cuff are very complex, so I don't really know for sure what's wrong. Had to change my whole weightlifting Routine, as a result of this.

Now, regarding your Forearm; is it the side where the palm of your hand is(Forearm Flexor) or the top of your hand side(Forearm extensors). Did you injure it doing something. Perhaps it's related to your wrist area. Their are exercises to strengthen the Forearm Flexors and Extensors, hopefully you don't have carpal tunnel, maybe arthritis is setting in. Not to sound gloomy, but after 50, our so called Male physical invincibility diminishes. Let me know, if you want to.

                                Kind Regards, Samson.

P.S. Had to modify my Post, I see you picked up something, could be a muscle strain, due to imbalance of the opposing sides of Forearm, in other words, one side is too strong for the other, or could be due to a Mineral deficiency.

Roy Martin:
I'm going to study carpal tunnel. Isn't that nerve damage? Just today it has started working its way into the top of my hand hurting as I move my fingers. Silvia suggested I talk to a friend of mine that is a chiropractor, but I can't keep from thinking this could be something serious that will force me to see a  specialist.

Roy

Ninny:
Roy, just be careful with that if it is some nerve damage or something you don't want it to get to the point where it can't be fixed! nerves take a while to heal, but anything needs time to heal and it may be a little physical therapy will help...at any rate, be careful that you get that taken care of!!  :) No real advice, just concern!!
Kathy ;)
