God's Quarterback
John from Kentucky:
For those of you who are still carnal enough to follow American Football, it looks like God's Quarterback, Tim Tebow, will be signed by the New England Patriots as a backup quarterback.
I wonder how he will get along with Tom Brady? Brady is not known as a choirboy.
Patric:
He still may not make the team through the pre-season.....but one of the coaches in New England is the one that drafted him when he first got out of college
Stacey:
Yes, I still have this fleshy carnal junk, and I enjoy it.
I believe if Timmy makes the team, they will get along fine. Brady will most likely see Tebow as a Jesus freak who is no threat to him at all. Which is pretty much the case.

Seems like you feel guilty about something, and doesn't really care about it. If you really believe that your hobby is a carnal thing to do, why then bring it and try to connect with others that are struggling with the same issue?
If you you are being just sarcastic, then I apologize and have not right to post this.
As anybody else, I also deal with things that I have to overcome, I am not trying to judge you, see that my post is not against football specifically. For what I am trying to bring the attention is, how do we deal with our idols of the mind?... Of course God is going to burn them all in time... but meanwhile, how should we be waiting for it?
Maybe some follow certain sport as an idol of the mind, and maybe others can be able to see beyond the entertainment and the negative things that surround it. As we already know, an idol is nothing and everything is allowed to us. However, if what we eat, and watch and talk about makes our weak brother stumble then we should stop.
PS. I hope you don't see these post as an invitation to fight.

Now that we have 'come out of her' and now that many of us are 'lone rangers' I wonder how to interpret and apply that scripture. How do I know which of my "brothers" are weak?
Are you saying that certain subjects should be avoided on the forum, since this is the place where many of us fellowship exclusively? I'd love to hear more on that.
JFK:
As much as I'm not a Tebow fan, I have to say that I do not like the way that the NY Jets dealt with him and his situation. It seems to me that they just wanted to buy into the hype but had no constructive plans for Tim.
