God's Quarterback
Dave in Tenn:
Here's a guideline I kinda use, as imperfect as it is:
It's hard to call a conscience 'weak' if it is able to leap out of one person and attach itself to others. ;D
Another one from Ray: If you can do it in front of your mother, it's probably OK. For the forum? Maybe if you could say it in front of your mother, it's probably OK. :)
For me, it's just been best to remember and remind myself that if we always and only talked about 'carnal' things, we'd be wise to understand we are not all on the same 'side'. Thankfully, football rivalries and arm-chair quarterbacking/coaching is usually all in fun. Can't say that for every subject.
These guidelines won't work in the southern hemisphere, however, as toilets flush in the opposite direction. Sorry, Rhys. You're on your own.

Ha ha :D I feel so abandoned
I had a feeling it had something to do with toilets flushing in the opposite direction. Thanks for confirming my suspicions kind Sir!

i enjoy watching football and follow my team "religiously". i dont often comment on this forum, but it seems like a lot of people here have an bible-truth forum idol...just saying...whats the difference

That's alright Melton71, you're still young. Sports and fellowship are still important to you in your every day life. AND that 's fine.
We older folks, getting quite close to the BIG SLEEP, are starting to seek other focus for our attention. Wondering whether we have shown enough appreciation for the blessing we have received.
We are all here for a valid reason, we all have important facets from our experience to contribute in God's training program.
Sincerely, Old Indiana Bob
