Hi Micah,
While the term second resurrection is never found in scripture one can infer a sort or type of second resurrection as you have done and as ray expounded upon.
As ray taught throughout the lake of fire series, aionion life is reserved for the elect, those who overcome, remain faithful until the end. They are raised as Jesus was. Spiritual bodies invisible and powerful like the wind and incapable of death--immortal.
Here is more to complement what he said in LOF:
http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,7474.msg59437.html#msg59437This is why, unlike the world, the overcomers, those given immortality are not hurt by the second death. This is why they become the second death. As Isaiah said,
Isaiah 33:13-15
13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
and again He says in hebrews, "And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire." The saints judging the world as paul put it.
After judgment, which is now on the house of God but in the next age at the great white throne for the world, then does each individual become like God, birthed into the kingdom of God born of spirit, conformed to His image, and given immortality and incorruption. Then do they inherit all things but not before!
So this can be thought of as 'the second' ressurection but try not to think of it as second meaning later in time but rather second in the reason for why they are ressurected. The first is the ressurection to life while a 'second' is to judgmenent but as I said originally, there is no scripture that specifically says 'second resurrection.'
Hopefully this helps some.
God bless,
Alex
