The Once Saved Always Saved Teaching Misleading?

<< < (2/4) > >>

YellowStone:
Good question?

I remember attending a service in a church where all who wished to be "born-again" and be saved, were to step forward and be saved for all eternity.

I did, and to this day believe that it was the most selfish act that I have yet committed.

For what of the following Scripture.

Mar 9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, [the same] shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Surely, if I am seeking to be in front of my fellow man, then I will be last.

1Pe 4:18  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

What will happen to the ungodly and sinners. Are they saved or not?

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Yes they are, but did they earn it.

1Pe 4:19  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Can any one say that there ever was a single person (Christ included) that did NOT live according to the will of God.

Luk 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Once saved, always saved. Ray talks of this in great detail; is any one person on this earth not saved?

The teaching is irrelevant, misleading and pointless regarding the truth, which is:

Jhn 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

I love it, God is in control of my destiny. All I have to do is enjoy it :)

Love and blessing to you all.

Hi robtjr30

Ray has explained that "..no one is saved in this life. Here is why  Rom 8:24-25...For we are saved by HOPE (also by "grace" and  "the gospel")  but hope that is seen (seen as a fact, as in, 'I am already saved') is NOT HOPE, for what a man see's, why does he YET HOPE For (it)? But if we hope for that we see not (is not fulfiled fact as yet) then do we with PATIENCE (perserverance) WAIT FOR IT"

That should sort out alot for you I hope. It certainly cut through alot of garbage I'd been taught!.....

Also if you read Ray's Winning Souls for Jesus that will add much more perspective and I found it to be of great liberating help.

Where is Ray's Link on the Once Saved Always Saved Doctrine?

Deborah-Leigh:

http://bible-truths.com/souls.htm

The teaching on this link might help you.

The teachings throughout what Ray has published, give evidence that the "once saved always saved " doctrine is false teaching leading to a false sense of security based on lies and heresy.

We are called to watch and pray and run our race working our our salvation...daily learning that Christ is Sovereign.

Peace be to you

Arcturus :)
