A Most Difficult Week

Dang Joe!

Maybe if your corporate office could read what you posted us!  You are right, that type of a team doesn't just happen!! It was an honor just to read about them.

Only God can give you the supernatural ability and wisdom to know what to do and to whom.  Trust Him.  Your team knows the type of person you are and will know how hard this is for you.  God will have doors ready for those He chooses to let go.

I know you know this.  I will be praying and thinking about you during this time.

Patrick, I am sorry to hear about your job loss!  I know you know God is in control but its still hard to go thru.  I will pray for you as well.  Will you go to Mobile??  Hope you can!

Patrick:
Gena, my experience was 7 years ago, sorry I did not relay that info.

Robin:
Sending prayers for all involved Joe.

You're in a hard place with this. I've been hearing stories so similar to this a lot lately. People with 20 years with the same company given very short notice that their job is ending. I know I would feel a little disgruntled being a loyal worker for that long just to be kicked to the curb. I know they will still feel they are important to you and that may ease their pain through this. I would rather be let go by someone I know cares for me.

Thank you all again for the kind words and prayers, I intend to write of this entire experience when all is said and done. I can do a more effective job of it when I am writing in retospect rather than when I am presently going through a particular trial/tribulation. The lessons learned never seem to be readily apparent or recognized until I look back.

His Peace and Love to you all,

Joe

Have just got here to read this thread.

It is rather like having to decide which limb of yours you have to amputate....the left or right arm or the left or right foot or the.....you know....

This is not a painless situation at all and no one desires to take a fall much less have to be the cause through which some one innocent must be set aside so the rest may go on. It is yet another challenge to believe that God causes our circumstances and we have to trust that He knows our needs and knows also how to draw us to Himself which is always through the thorns before we get to the soft petals of the roses. There are no accidents and just as God in in control of Nations, so too is He in control of the destinies, economics and circumstances of each one of us.  Regardless of how we may feel we are responsible for others....we are not and this should not leave us callous or cold but should free us to love each other more. We are accountable to love one another and as far as I can see, I think you got that part right with your team Joe. God made them and gave them their abilities. he gave to each of you the experience of working, relying and depending on one another. It was all from God and is all back to God from whence it came with the only difference that it returns with the sweat of your labours, the blood of your tears and the love of your hearts. That kind of return to God will not return back to any of you empty. I believe that. I believe also that the world can not repay any of you for your loyalty, integrity and honesty, but God can and will. Hope these words help to comfort you through this burning trial.

Peace be to you

Arcturus :)
