Good morning Porter...you were on my mind.  I was searching for a poem under "off topic discussions" and started reading some old threads.  Please read some of them as there were others experiencing "giving up" and how they expressed their feelings.  The awesome responses they got was very uplifting as so many on this forum had/have so much God given wisdom.  You may find renewed strength.

The Spirit is willing.  The flesh is weak. 

Did you read that right?  There is now no condemnation.

Every man a liar yet let God be true! 

Find a couple of promises from his word that resonate with you and hold on to them for dear life.  Nothing can separate us from the love of God, no temptation has fallen upon us that is not common to man and right now God has us exactly where not only he wants us but where we need to be.

If there was a better way for God to accomplish his plan for the world and us in particular then he would do it that way.

I'm just tired. I'm not even that old at 52, but I'm tired. Tired of Satan trying to bring me down because of my sins. I've given up on trying, I don't know what to do. Help, I'm desperate and scared. So pathetic, I know.

I hear you and will keep you in my prayers Porter.  I often have to remind myself that our Creator has a Master Plan of salvation and healing for all of us.  Without that blessed knowledge, I would be in total despair also as I witness and experience the evils of this age.  Sending you a spiritual hug.

You aren't alone Porter.  I am the same age and in a similar place. 

Remember Satan will be cast down.
